53 winemakers, spread between Le Landeron and Vaumarcus, look after a 600-hectare vineyard. They produce an average of 35,000 to 40,000 hl of wine a year.
White grape varieties currently occupy 40% of the surface area, mainly Chasselas, Pinot Gris and Chardonnay, and red grape varieties 60%, mainly Pinot Noir. Only twelve grape varieties qualify for the Neuchâtel AOC, with the aim of preserving quality and authenticity.
